In the late 90s the organization dakila pesquisas wanted to create a model of sustainable city of the future. The project was developed in the last 20 years. They built buildings with local materials, they rely on solar energy. The community lives sustainably producing their own food or relying on that produced by other local communities, recycling or reusing their waste. A tourism agency was founded to manage tourism, their goal is to share the nature and their way of life with the visitors
