Kapapd is a scenic and pristine beach located on the fabulous Malabar Coast of the South Indian State of Kerala. Most tourism in the region of Kerala takes place in the south but the lesser-known north destinations have been increasingly promoted, to reduce overtourism. The beach of Kappad, was forever noted for its scenic beauty and clean waters and was cherishing its historic connection but was struggling to become a full-fledged destination unlike its peers and was lacking infrastructure and facing issues like littering. It is now the first beach in the region of Kerala to have received the Blue Flag certification (in 2021), and has been developed into as a sustainable and clean destination.
