Ljubljana wants to ensure that their cultural heritage is protected and preserved for future generations, they also want to make their heritage is accessible to the widest population possible. They decided to use technology to digitize Ljubljana’s landmarks designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik Museums, cultural and tourist organizations can utilize this material to offer innovative visitor experiences. The heritage is made more accessible, the public can access heritage sites remotely, and gained access to ones that aren’t open to the public. The material can be used to create an interest for the local cultural heritage and attract tourists. It’s also a form of differentiation of the touristic offer that the pandemic showed to be very valuable.
