Featured among the top 5 attractions of the destination, the Žiče Charterhouse, a former Carthusian monastery, was suffering from the stream and ravages of time until when a fresh nature-friendly restoration and conservation project came along in 2020. Thanks to regular involvement of a bunch of multilateral stakeholders involved in the intervention process, this important piece of cultural heritage is now a vibrant environment offering experiences of unspoiled nature and tranquillity, a range of permanent exhibitions and a unique backdrop for acoustic concerts and fairy-tale weddings.
